IN THE KITCHEN: Berry delicious smoothie bowl (Gf, raw, vegan, dairy free)

Morning lovely people!  One thing I’m always telling clients is how important it is to eat seasonal and eat with the SEASONS.  What does this mean?  Our bodies in the colder months naturally crave warm, rich and nourishing foods ~ and as the weather warms up here (Toronto) WE want to eat cooling, hydrating and include more raw foods.

Don’t get me wrong I’m still eating soups, roasted vegetables and such BUT really aim to include lots of cooling elements to all my meals and snacks.

This breakfast smoothie bowl is perfect for a filling and energizing cool treat in the morning.  AND its super pretty because we eat with our eyes first!  Bon appetite – share if able.

BERRY DELICIOUS SMOOTHIE BOWL

(serves 1)

1/2 cup organic strawberries (I used frozen)

1/2 cup organic raspberries

1/2 c raw cashews, soaked over night

1/4 c, coconut cream (or nut mylk)

1 tbsp hemp hearts & chia seeds

1 scoop Genuine Health greens+

2-4 tbsp water (until desired texture)

To do: Blend everything together, adding in water until desired texture.  Garnish with some additional berries and seeds.  Enjoy.
